Conversation starter: Guess the name of the dog in the photo where John is on the motor bike? Whose motor bike is he sitting on? Ask Avril for the answers.
I thought John always looked like the real Santa
I remember when I stayed down in Somerset with uncle John and auntie Linda when they lived next to the school. He lifted me, Lara and Keaton over the small wall into the school playground so we could ride the bikes around and we had so much fun.
Uncle John had a great sense of humour, always with a funny joke or two.
No one will say “whatcha” the way he did.
He was the best uncle I had ever known; he was my only uncle!! He will be deeply missed.
Lorna’s Memories:
I remember going to Somerset when I was 9 years old with nan and grandad to uncle John and auntie Linda’s bed and breakfast. We went for Lara’s birthday and Linda’s mum was there too. I loved staying in the attic room with nan.
I remember one Christmas party over at nan and grandad’s where our mum wanted to watch Love Story while we were all at the party. John handed out all nan’s tissues to everyone at the end of the film because it’s a sad film. We were all in fits of laughter. He was always very funny.
Ryan’s memory:
Great uncle John and great auntie Linda got me a round puzzle ball for a present. I loved it even though I could never do it!
